Matthew Warner, DHSc, ACSM-EP has been announced as the Director of Technical Assistance and Training at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine’s Illinois Campus Cares Technical Assistance Center (ICC-TAC), where he will on advancing public health education and prevention initiatives at the statewide level.

Matthew holds a Doctorate of Health Sciences from Indiana State University, a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Studies from Eastern Illinois University and is a certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). His professional background spans health education, exercise science, substance use prevention, mental health promotion, financial wellbeing, gambling, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and sexual health.

Prior to his current role, Matthew served as Assistant Director of the Health Education Resource Center at Eastern Illinois University and spent several years as an instructor and graduate assistant coordinator at Indiana State University. His scholarly work has been presented at national and regional conferences, with a particular focus on mentorship, college health, and public health education.
